The Pilot Of This Plane Made An Emergency Landing For the Best Reason Possible

By Jack Day

Flying is kind of a drag. Sure it is better than the alternatives, but it can be a headache when things don’t go as planned. Especially when you have an international flight to survive. Any little delay can feel like an eternity and by the time you reach your destination you feel like just giving up and moving your life overseas rather than take that unforgiving flight again.

But when the delay itself is caused by a life being at stake, then the pain of the extra time kind of fades away. That is what happened recently when a pilot on a flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto noticed the heating system in the cargo area of the plane was malfunctioning. Had there not been a four legged passenger named Simba riding in the belly of the plane, it would not have been a huge issue. But the pilot feared that once they got over the Atlantic Ocean the French Bulldog would freeze to death due to the drop in temperature.

Watch the video to see how the pilot became little Simba’s big hero and set an example for the rest of us on how all life matters, human and otherwise.

What do you think about the actions of the pilot? Would you be upset if your international flight was being diverted for a dog? Please share your thoughts and tell others about this awesome story!
